How High Point is Configured

Points are awarded at every Field trial for the top 4 dogs.
1st Place 5 points
2nd Place 3 points
3rd Place 2 points
4th Place 1 point

These points goes toward the Championship with the AKC for that dog.
There are 2 Stakes in which Championship Points are Awarded.
10 points are needed along with a “WIN” to become a Champion or 2 WINS
Open All-Age
Amateur All-Age
To help clarify the difference between the 2 Stakes

Open All-Age
This is open to everyone and every spaniel over 6 months age

Amateur All-Age
Professional are not allowed entry in this stake.

Puppy Stakes has NO Championship points awarded.
This calculation is done just for our fun and knowledge of what the up coming competition is doing.
There are more details, but this will give you a basic understanding of the point system.
