SITFFR Mourns the Loss of Our Beloved Mascot, Sherlock

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Sherlock, our cherished SITFFR mascot dog.

Sherlock, a 19-month-old English Cocker Spaniel, was more than just a mascot — he was a joyful, intelligent, and loyal companion who captured hearts everywhere he went. Bred by Robin Fisher in Minnesota, Sherlock quickly became an essential part of our community with his obedience, charm, and beautiful character.

Tragically, Sherlock passed away after being exposed to rat poison spread across a public park by NYC city workers. This careless action put not only dogs but also children at risk.

We are heartbroken by this senseless loss. We believe public spaces should be safe for everyone — families, pets, and all members of the community.

Sherlock’s memory will live on at SITFFR, and we will honor him by continuing to advocate for responsible practices in our parks.

We miss him deeply.
