Xifficult day today for Storm, worked hard on the blackthorn (nasty stuff as you can see from the photo) and the gorse.
We only did the two small areas not the.long route in between on the map.
Cold start but soom.warmed up. On the downside he flushed and chased a rabbit. On the plus side he flushed a pricked bird, should have stopped but he chased it down and brought it in. To be honest I thought he had pegged it but one of the guns told me it was pricked.
To really finish the day of he had a lovely contact flush in open cover. Stopped on the whistle and then hunted away.?

Early doors, but does anyone know of any dates for working tests in the South West yet?

Got a trip to the vets this evening with Storm, little bit worried. I can’t seem to get any weight on him even though he’s on good green tripe. Over the weekend he has had an upset tummy and has been going in the kennel run which is rare for him.
I’ve seen that his feces is very watery and has blood in it. I’m thinking he may have a blockage of some description. He hasn’t been to the toilet properly all weekend so needs to be seen.
He’s happy enough in himself, running around and worked really well on Saturday, must have covered over 10 miles, the cold game training yesterday he was working well.

Well that was novel, training from 4:15 till 5 o’clock with enough light to what I’m doing.
Some really.nice quatering from Storm, a nice patteren, reasonably quick without dashing around randomly.
